No matter what kind of structure you build, if it has a door or window opening you’re going to need a head of some sort to support the structure above the opening. It’s hard to beat the all-round versatility and strength of a precast concrete lintels from KPC – UK.
Precast Concrete Lintels
Lintels have been a feature of architecture for thousands of years with some impressive examples like the 120 ton stone lintel over the entrance to the Treasury of Atreus at Mycenae in Greece. Thankfully, we don’t get too many calls for a 120 ton lintel, but KPC have been manufacturing precast concrete lintels for many many years and our customers do appreciate the efficiency of our production facility in manufacturing quality concrete lintels. We have a high quality lintel bed production facility capable of large-scale manufacturing of precast concrete lintels in a range of sizes and finishes.
KPC concrete lintels are tested against BS8110 and are available as reinforced or pre-stressed depending on size (all of our standard 65mm concrete lintels are pre-stressed). In addition to our off-the-shelf standard concrete lintels we are, as always, happy to produce off-standard bespoke concrete lintels such as the 215×215 fair-faced lintel pictured above. Even if you are not sure of the technical requirements of your lintel, just contact our technical sales team via the form on the bottom of this page, talk to us about the job involved and we will happily give you the advantage our extensive engineering experience to assist in specifying the right lintel for your build project.
We also supply a full range of Pad-stones to match our range of concrete lintels. Contact our experienced team who will be happy to assist in selecting the most appropriate lintels and padstones for your project.
