KPC has extensive experience in manufacturing Precast Concrete Pier Caps (or pier coping if you prefer) and we have built up a considerable range of pier caps which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Architectural Precast Concrete and reconstituted Cast Stone Pier Caps provide embellishment and protection to piers, pillars and gate posts. They protect mortar from erosion and frost damage by deflecting rain water from running down the face of the pillar. They will ideally complement the architectural style of the development by tying in with the design of the wall copings, collars, bases and even window sills and door surrounds. KPC offers wide ranges of all of these products, so as to facilitate the realisation of any architectural concept.

PIER CAPS SPECIFICATION & ORDERING
Pier caps will usually project up to 75mm from each face of the pier, depending on which materials are being used and the application. Pier caps are normally weathered four ways and come complete with water drip grooves in order to protect the pier from the elements. Advice should be sought from our technical sales team at the time of ordering, to ensure that these details are correct.
Standard Apex Pier Caps are suitable for finishing and protecting your pillars in a cost effective and minimalist style. They will usually have a shallow front face of 50mm, but a fuller look can be achieved by specifying a deeper face of up to 150mm.
Rectangular pier caps feature a ridge, similar to a twice weathered wall coping, but they are finished on each end. This type of pillar cap is often used on boundary walls which are visible to the public.
KPC supplies decorative circular pier caps as well as more intricate designs which are consistent with the Regency and Classical architectural styles. Our helpful and highly experienced technical team is on hand to offer advice and guidance, where necessary.
