Tactile Paving Studs and Strips have become an increasingly relevant tool in creating a safer and more inclusive environment. We have been supplying tactile paving for quite some time, but we’ve noted an increased demand for Stainless Steel Tactile Paving Studs & Strips for retrofitting on existing paving.
Tactile Studs and Strips allow existing paving to be converted to safer, inclusive Tactile Paving
  • Marine Grade Stainless Steel

Retro-fitting Tactile Studs is Quick and Easy

Installation Instructions for Tactile Studs

  1. The relevant standards governing correct layout and orientation for Tactile Indicators must be complied with and a drilling template taped to the substrate to avoid movement while drilling.
  2. The holes are individually drilled and the template removed.
  3. Dust and debris is vacuumed from the holes and a chemical anchor inserted into each cavity.
  4. Studs are fitted and tapped flush with substrate with a nylon mallet.
  5. The installation can accept light pedestrian traffic immediately as the stud stems are textured to achieve an interference fit.
  6. Depending on ambient temperate, the adhesive takes 1-2 hours to cure completely.
